Is it better to pray the midmorning prayer at the masjid or in the home?
Answer:
It is better to perform the midmorning prayer in the masjid than in the home, as al-Badr al-Zarkashi said and confirmed by the late scholars of the school”.
Shaykh al-Islam Zakariyya said in his commentary on the Rawd, when mentioning which supererogatory prayers are recommended to be prayed in the masjid, “Al-Zarkashi said, including the midmorning prayer, because of the hadith as related by Abu Dawud.”
الجواب : فعلُ صلاة الضحى في المسجد أفضلُ من فعلها في البيت كما قاله البدرُ الزركشي وأقرُّوه ، قال شيخُ الإسلام زكريا في “شرح الروض” ذاكراً ما يستحب من
النوافل في المسجد ما نصه :” قال الزركشي وصلاةُ الضحى لخبر رواه أبو داود “.اهـ
