(Fatwa: 1209/1209/M=1432)
(1) It is mentioned in hadith:
تزوجوا الودود الولود . فاظفر بذات الدين .
It means that one should marry religious girl that loves too much to her husband and begets more children (it can be assessed by the women of her family) and is obedient to her husband.
(2) Nikah should be done in line with the way of Prophet and with the intention of practicing sunnah.
(3) Walimah is sunnah. The holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
أولم ولو بشاة .
The practice of sunnah is very important for a Muslim.
