Is the name RIDA correct?

Question: My friend has put her daughter name ” ” RIDA ” Is this name is correct according to Islam and what its actual meanings.and tell me about “AL-RIDA” .Can i put this name AL RIDA for the girl.

Answer

(Fatwa: 334/302/B=1432)

It is correct to keep the name Rida (ردا). It means chuddar. You can continue with it, you need not to change it.
