Is It Be Permissible to Get a Revision Rhinoplasty?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Seekersguidance.org

Answered by Ustadh Salman Younas

Question: Assalam aleykum

I had rhinoplasty before converting to Islam. I’ve come to realize that the doctor who performed my rhinoplasty didn’t do a good job. Would it be permissible to get a revision rhinoplasty (where a current doctor fixes what the prior doctor didn’t properly do, appearance wise)?

Answer: assalamu alaykum

If a qualified doctor has advised you to perform a revision rhinoplasty for medical reasons or to correct a deformity caused by the first surgery, it would be permissible to undergo such a procedure.

However, if it is purely for beauty enhancement then it would not be permitted.
