How is Ghusal and Janaazah performed of a deceased person if only some of their body parts are found after an accident took place?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. How is Ghusal and Janaazah performed of a deceased person if only some of their body parts are found after an accident took place?

A. In respect to the above query, hereunder are three scenarios:

1. If more than half of the body is found, Ghusal and Janaazah will take place.

2. If less than half of the body was found, Ghusal and Janaazah will not take place.

3. If exactly half of the body was found, Ghusal and Janaazah will take place only if the head had been found as well. (Shaami 2/199)
