Is Wudhu complete over the ink stain from voting?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Fatwa-TT.com
Question:

After several attempts to clean, the ink stain from voting remains on index finger and nail. Is Wudhu complete over ink stain from voting.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

According to our understanding, the ink used in voting to dip one’s finger in is permeable, it does not form an impervious layer to prevent water from reaching the skin.

Hence the ink stain will not prevent the validity of Wudhu. It would be complete.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
