Keeping table tennis and pool tables in the masaajid

Q: Our Masaajid here in the UK tend to have a table tennis table or pool table at the rear of the masjid to attract the youth to come to the masaajid or organise a trainee to train them to boxing etc. Would that be permissible or would it be considered لهو ولعب ?? Jzk

Bismillaah

A: It is very inappropriate that these types of activities take place around the precincts of the musjid. Table tennis etc. obviously is lahw.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
