Telling one’s wife “See what I do tomorrow” with the intention of talaaq

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: During a quarrel with his wife, if a husband says to his wife, “See what I do tomorrow” (his intention was to say that he will divorce her tomorrow). And the next day and the day after he didn’t do anything. He just wanted to scare his wife. Will talaaq take place?

Bismillaah

A: There is no divorce with this.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
