Doubting whether one swallowed the taste of lip balm while fasting

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I wasnt sure if lip balm went into my mouth during fasting so I closed my lips and licked the inside of my mouth to try and taste it. I believed I swallowed in attempt to figure this out. I only realised after that I shouldn’t have swallowed – although, I didnt taste any lip balm so, is mt fast valid?

Bismillaah

A: If you are not sure whether you swallowed or not then the roza is valid.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
