Replying to the salaam of a non-Musim

Q: If a non-Muslim says Assalam u alAikum, how should we answer? 

Bismillaah

A: Do not reply to his salaam in the manner one replies to a Muslim. However you may reply by saying Wa Alayka.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
