Q: What is the meaning of this verse in the Quran (39:69) The earth shall shine with the light of its Lord,

Bismillaah

A: This is with reference to the Day of Qiyaamah when Allah Ta`ala will commence the reckoning.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
