Q:
1. Is it mentioned in the Quran or Hadith that a husband and wife should buy gifts for one another?
2. Also is it mentioned that hard work pays off well?
A:
1. Gifting and receiving gifts is a sunnat, whether it is practised by the husband and wife or friends, children, etc.
2. The hadeeth says that the best earning is the one from the sweat of the brow.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
