Did Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) practice iylaa?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My question is about Ielaa (oath) in surah baqarah aayat no. 226. Did Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) do ielaa? If yes, for how many days and was it completed or did Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) pay kaffarah?

Bismillaah

A: Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) had not practised ielaa. However, there was a situation where he did not live with the azwaaj-e-mutahharaat for one month and thereafter resumed living with them.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
