Performing eight rakaats tahajjud with one salaam

Q: The tahajjud when you pray four rakaats or more, is there a salaam in every two rakaats or when you make an intention to perform eight rakaats you will perform it with a salaam on the last rakaat? or on the eight rakaat?

Bismillaah

A: It is permissible, but it is better that you do four rakaats with one salaam.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
