Using Alayhis Salaam for the Ahle bayt

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is that allowed for Muslims to say ” Alayhi Salam” after the names of Ahle Bayt? E.g Imam Hussain (Alayhi Salam). If not then kindly Answer in detail.

Bismillaah

A: The khulafaa-e-raashideen are also from the ahle bait. To say that only Hadhrat Ali (radhiyallahu anhu) is from the ahle bait is a baseless statement, and the word “alaihis salaam” is used only for ambiyaa.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
