The time of Maghrib Salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: For how many minutes is the duration of Maghrib before Esha sets in. If, for some reason, the Maghrab salaah is delayed for about ten minutes, would it be valid or treated as Qazaa?

Bismillaah

A: The Maghrib time remains until the disappearance of twilight i.e. the white glow that appears after the red glow. This will fluctuate. It is difficult to give an exact time. Hence, if the Maghrib salaah was read within this time the salaah is valid. It is masnoon to read the Maghrib salaah immediately without any delay.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
