Saying Salaam in Masjid loud or not ?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
When entering the Masjid, can we say “Assalamu Alaikum” aloud? And are the people in the Masjid required to respond? How about when they are doing zikr or reading Qur’an?
If a person reaches the mosque then he should say salaam such that it doesn’t disturb those who are busy in the prayer and those who are not busy should notice it. you should not say so loud that it disturbs the people in prayer nor so quietly that you just move your lips.
