Can I Publish Verses and Hadiths on Instagram?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Seekersguidance.org

Answered by Ustadh Salman Younas

Question: Assalam aleykum

I run an Instagram account on which I only upload Quranic Ayat and Sahih Hadith with the hope of them serving as reminders to the users on Instagram. I only post the English translation and I never comment. However, I try to make the post aesthetically pleasing. I usually use flowers.

Is it permissible?

Answer: assalamu alaykum

This is permissible and you will get the reward for both (a) spreading the word of God and His Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) and (b) those who read and benefit from these verses.

As the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) stated, “Convey from me even if it is a single verse.” [al-Bukhari]
