Is it permissible to insert a finger in to the anal tract in order to remove waste at the time of defecating?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

It is improper to insert a finger into the anal tract itself, and not improper to clear the actual area of the opening gently. [As understood from Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar, quoting the scholars of the school.]

And Allah alone gives success.
