Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Dr Zakir Naik does Masha-Allah good Dawah work however we do not concur with all his conclusions. The big bang theory for one, is not in the Qur’aan and not consistent with Islamic Beliefs. The Quran is replete with fact not theories. There is no need for Muslims to appease scientists by twisting texts of the Holy Qur’an to prove their theories. Theories are exactly what they are, i.e. theories. What if scientists in the future discredit this particular theory? What will happen to the verses used to prove it? It will make the Holy Qur’an also appear as a book of theory, Allah forbid!
We understand that Dr Zakir Naik is a medical doctor by profession and an Invitor to Islam however he is not a Scholar of Islam (‘Alim).
One should always be cautious that a person has contact with noble ‘Ulama as inconsistent Islamic views can damage one’s faith.
