Can interest money be given to a Muslim charity or only non-Muslim charity?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftisays.com
are we allowed to give intrest money to a muslim charity or is it just the non muslim charity . i have recently taken money out of my account and would like to give it to a non muslim charity but people say there is no need as the money is’nt haram

Answer
Assalamu’alaikum w.w.

Though permissible to give to non-Muslim poor and
needy it is best and preferrable to dispose of
interest money by giving it to poor Muslims without an
intention of reward.

Similalry, it is permissible to pass on the money to
charities who will ensure that it is given to the poor
and needy.
