Alhamdulillah, it is very encouraging to hear that you are concerned about preserving the Qur’an after memorising it.

There are certain ways one can remember something. The best way to preserve the Qur’an is to act upon it, follow its commandments and teachings, and to propagate it.

The pious are quoted as saying that one must give charity on behalf of all the knowledge he has acquired. When asked what they mean by giving charity, they reply by saying that acting upon the knowledge is the best form of charity.

My sincere advice and appeal to you is that you hold firm to the teachings of the Qur’an and also devote much time everyday to its recitation. Take great pleasure in reciting it and do not ever consider it a burden. You have been chosen by Allah for his book.

There are Du’as such as Rabbi Zidni Ilma, etc, but the best way to preserve it is to devote time to it everyday. Start your day with recitation of the Qur’an for the morning time is the best to memorise and store something in ones memory.

May Allah give us all the same worry and concern, Aameen.
