In the Name of Allah, the Inspirer of Truth.

It is not permissible to do so unless the male is a Mahram*

To drive alone with a male is not conducive to Islamic Modesty. Further, because there is a student and teacher relationship, there exists the added danger of familiarity.

One may acquire the services of a female driving instructor. If one is unavailable, as a last resort, a Mahram may accompany the lady whilst being instructed.

*mahram – i.e. A male relative with whom Nikah is never valid. For example, father, brother, son, paternal and maternal uncles etc.

And Allah knows Best
