Are doughnuts halal due to emulsifiers?

As’salamu Alaykum WR A friend of mine wanted to find out if Doughnuts (e.g. jam, cream, chocolate doughnuts etc)were halal or not, as it contanis (emulsfair or something). If you can please let me know. Jazakallahu Khairan

Emulsifiers can be animal derived or not. If they are not animal derived then they would be permissible.

Check with the baker to verify.
