We have our kitchen in our house on the west side. One of our guest remarked that as per Islamic beliefs, kitchen should not be to west side. Is there any substance in it? Kindly clarify.

It is unlawful to build toilet in which face or back is directed toward qiblah side, but there is no wrong to build kitchen facing west side, it may be erected.
