Security Cameras in Mosques: Permissible or Not?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permmissible just for security reasons to have a security camera screen in or outside of the musjid showing live people (the faces and the eyes of the people can not be seen so clearly on the screen) coming and going?

A: Photography and the person who indulges in it has been cursed. Refer to http://ihyaauddeen.co.za/?p=3541

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
