The Dua of Prophet Muhammad (Sallahu Alahi Wasalam) for Turning Curses into Blessings

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What is the understanding of the Dua in which Nabi (Sallahu Alahi Wasalam) requested that whomsoever He (Sallahu Alahi Wasallam) has cursed, it should be made a blessing and mercy for the cursed?

Bismillaah

A: In other words, Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is teaching us that even those who are engaged in Deeni works, in spite of their piety and righteousness, they may at times be overcome with situations of anger etc. So instead of them abandoning the Deeni work that they are doing they should resort to this type of du`aa.

Bismillaah

A: Where Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) had asked for it to be a blessing it will be as blessing.
