Kurta covering the angles when going into Ruku’

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I have a thobe that is just above my ankles when walking normally. However when I bend down or go in to ruku, the thobe covers my ankles. Is it permissible to wear such a thobe?

Bismillaah

A: It is permissible. It is still better to hem the bottom of the kurta so that it may remain above the ankles in the state of ruku as well.
