Spending money acquired in an impermissible manner

Q: I want to ask regarding spending money found from some illegal way.

Bismillaah

A: If the money was acquired in an impermissible manner, the correct thing is to return it to the person it was taken from. And if you cannot find him then give the entire amount in charity to some deserving person.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
