Defying one’s mother

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What happens if your mother tells you not to do something in Islam and she be like if you do it I don’t forgive you and then you did it.

Bismillaah

A: Don’t intentionally defy her. But if you have to, then try and do it without showing an attitude, and if it can be kept away from her then it is even better, as long as it is of a permissible nature.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
