Bad thoughts and waswasa

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What can a person do if he has bad thoughts about people and their misfortunes, evil glances and waswasa. He makes lot of istigfaar but does not help.

Bismillaah

A: He should entertain good thoughts about people and ignore theses stray thoughts. To remove these wasaawis, he should recite kalima tayiba and laahowla wala quwata illa billa in abundance.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
