Woman remaining alone at home with male care givers

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I care for my disabled son at home. The council are sending two male care workers when I have requested one male and one female. I feel uncomfortable and I believe it is against my religion to be alone with two males who are ghair mahram. Please can you send me an explanation that I can forward to explain my religious and cultural requirements.

Bismillaah

A: It is incorrect for a woman to be in the company of strange men, especially in this day and age when evil and vice is so rife.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
