Can non-Muslims who do good in this world go to Jannah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Can a non-Muslim who does good to people go to heaven? He or she might treat people with respect and give alms but can they go to heaven or do they have to take their shahaada to go to Jannah?

Bismillaah

A: Jannat is the property of Allah Ta`ala and His rule is that Jannat is reserved for those who believe correctly i.e. to have imaan. If there is no imaan then there is no acceptance.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
