Experiencing a void in one’s heart despite carrying out good actions

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I read Quran, tafsir, do taleem, do zikr, read salah on time ma shaa Allah, yet I feel blank … I am not connecting with Allah Ta’ala… I feel like there is something missing in my heart. Why is it happening?

Bismillaah

A: Don’t pay attention to the void that you experience. The fact that you are doing these a`maal regularly is a sign of acceptance.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
