Women going to non-Muslim female doctors

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I dont understand – you say that a female should go to a female doctor, yet you firmly discourage especially females to study – isnt this double standards? Please explain.

Bismillaah

A: If you wish to understand then you have women that are practising from their homes with all pardah requirements. You also have non-Muslim women physicians. What stops you from going to them? They are not obligated by the shar`ee laws.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
