Marrying a person of a different sect

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it possible for a person to marry with a person of a different sect (maslak). Is it right to do so or should it be avoided?

Bismillaah

A: Marriage is better enjoyed when there is understanding, mahabbat and peace. When the maslak is different, how can you have a good level of understanding and how can there be peace in the house.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
