Explanation of a part of dua-e-qunoot

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: In dua qunoot we recite ونخلع ونترك من يفجرك “And we forsake and turn away from the one who disobeys you”.

I would like more explanation. What kind of turn away and forsake one, because a lot of our loved ones disobey Allah such as family members. So does this mean that we must forsake them and turn away from them.

Bismillaah

A: In other words, we do not socialise with such people, and if we do have to meet them then we meet them only so that they could come closer to deen.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
