Shaikh not answering the questions of females

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I would like to know does a Sheikh have the right to deny to answer any questions from females (Muslims and Non-Muslims? How about if Allah is guiding a specific sister to a specific Sheikh? He has the right to not take care of her question? Which opinion sounds more correct? Accepting female questions or denying female questions?

Bismillaah

A: If he feels uncomfortable or unsafe talking to females then this is a matter of taqwa.

Don’t fall into unnecessary suspicions and doubts. Sometimes this can be incited by nafs if you wish to just refer to one person when he is not interested.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
