Misinterpretation of “You are the best nation raised for mankind” by Tabligh Jamaat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Does the verse “you are the best nation raised for mankind…” refer to going out for 3 days and 40 days etc. Why does the tabligh jamaat use this verse and give it a meaning that Allah Ta’ala did not intend?

Bismillaah

A: The tableegh jamaat does not use this verse for taking out for 3 days etc. They use this verse to show the importance of encouraging others as well. In order to encourage and enjoin others in the path of righteousness you need to understand how it is done. The jamaat will give you an idea and some training how this will be done.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
