Husbands parents ill treating the daughter in-law

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I am married for one year. My husband is in Oman . I am with his father and mother. I have some problems from both. They are not allowing me to go to my family members. They do not like me to speak with my husband. They hurt me all the time. Is what they are doing right? What can I do? Do you have any advice for me? I am so depressed nowadays.

Bismillaah

A: After marriage your primary obligation is to your husband.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
