Stating that one is a vegetarian

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permissible to say you are not going to eat meat and you are going to be a vegetarian, without any valid reason?

Bismillaah

A: It is incorrect to make these types of statements and it is compulsory that you go against that.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
