Q: I’m a Muslim who is trying to be a better one. But I did something very wrong. May Allah pardon me. I missed so many Salaahs. That’s not the end. I almost did zina with my ex-girlfriend, almost means almost did and at the very last moment I stopped. Now, my question is if this would be considered as zina? If so, what would I do now? I only want forgiveness from Allah but I’m afraid if it’s considered zina.
A: It is not zina. However, you should ask Allah’s forgiveness and promise never to repeat this.
