The name “Aaminah” and “Ameenah”

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My question is the name Aamina aminah aaminah amna أمنة or أمينة. Can we use use this name عامنة? If yes then what is the meaning?

Bismillaah

A: The name is pronounced with a hamza, Aaminah آمِنَة or Ameenah أمِيْنَةْ. Aaminah آمِنَة means the one who is protected or the one who protects and Ameenah أمِيْنَةْ means the honest and trustworthy person.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
