Husband taking care of the expenses of the house

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My husband gives me R1000 a month just for groceries and at the end of the month I give him R1000 to pay for our water account, is that right? He doesn’t give me any other money.

Bismillaah

A: It is the husband’s duty to take care of the expenses of the house, water, lights, etc.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
