Janab Mufti Sahab, Assalamwalaikum, Q1) Can I give zakat to my friend who is very poor. Though he is doing some work but the earning is not sufficient to take care of his family of 4 kids. Can I give him all my zakat so that he can start a small business / shop for his earnings, I dont want to give small amount of zakat to many people but whole zakat amount to one so that he can start his business and become eligible to give zakat and help other poors in future. If your friend is eligible for receiving zakah, you can give him zakah. But it should be given in such a quantity that he does not become sahib-e-nisab i.e. the owner value equal to 52.5 tola silver.
