I am working in a company where the toilet is western type where I cannot sit and pass urine because all other employers are non-Muslim and they urinate in a standing posture. Also there is only one toilet so my doubt is can I stand and urinate because if I sit the drops of urine will adhere to my clothes and body will become napak. Before once, I asked an Hafiz sahib he told me that using that toilet itself is harm for me and have to arrange some other place for this purpose so I am going to mosque sometimes it will take about 20-25 minutes for me to go but every time I cannot go their between my work. So please suggest me can I pass the urine in standing posture?
Answer:
(Fatwa: 464/261/H=1433)
(1) In case of urinating while sitting if there is no safety from the splashes of urine and while standing position the body and clothes are safe from being impure and there is no way to urinate sitting while it is difficult to go mosque time and again then in such a case you are allowable to go to that western type toilet.
(2) In your case, it is not haram, and the other details were mentioned in the answer number 1.
