It is wajib to grow beard to at least one fist size. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
خالفوا المشرکینوأوفروا اللحی (متفق علیہ)
وفي الدر المختار: یحرم علی الرجل قطع لحیتہ والسنۃ فیھا القبضہ
