Can fees be waived for one’s own caste, per Prophet (PBUH) teachings?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Sir, I am impressed with your research work about Islam. May GOD Bless you. Kindly answer my following question. Suupose I am owner of a educational institution. My cast is “A” (Suppose). I do not charge any fee from the students of my cast (“A”). Is this correct action in the light of a last Address of our beloved last Prophet (PBUH). Kindly guide so that I may correct my direction. Thanks!

When you are the owner of the institution, you have right to exempt the students of your caste to pay fees. However, if you grant the exemption to the students on the ground of poverty and neediness, it will be better.
