I am involved in share trading. i am purchasing & selling shares(intraday). sometimes i am doing short sell (before purchasing shares, forward sell). i do get shares delivery. can i do short sell? (sell first & purchase after). i hope soon from you. zazakallah
Answer:
(Fatwa: 938/873=D/1429)
It is unlawful to sell a thing which you do not own or which you do not have in your possession. Therefore, the above-mentioned short selling is unlawful.
