Is vaginal discharge tahir or najis, and what should I do to stay in a state of purity for ibadat?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalam-o-alaikum, I’m 25, female, newly married. I’m having on and off vaginal discharge which is sometimes clear or sometimes creamy in colour with no odour. I wanted to know what I should be doing to stay in the state of purity to offer ibadat. Is it okay to wudu before every prayers and offer it or do what? Some says this discharge is tahir while some states its najis? I’m confused, please reply. Thanks.

(Fatwa: 1373/1114=D/1430)

The wetness is impure, it will invalidate the wudhu. If the wetness is discharged continuously, it does not pause for a duration in the entire time of a salah in which you can perform wudhu and salah, then you will be considered mazoor (excused). Then, at the arrival of each salah time, you will make fresh wudhu and you can perform salah (fardh or nafl), tilawah etc as much as you wish. This wudhu will expire once the time of salah is over. For the next salah, you will have to perform wudhu again. The rulings pertaining to ma?zoor are mentioned in Bahishti Zewar, study it and act accordingly. And, if you are not mazoor, keep sponge in your private part and your wudhu will remain intact until the outer part of the sponge is wet. But, when the outer part of the sponge will be wet, you should take it out and your wudhu will be break.
